Artificial Intelligence, Academic Certificate
Artificial intelligence is a growing field and essential skill in the current job market and is becoming ubiquitous in various technologies and platforms. The Artificial Intelligence academic certificate program prepares students with the skills in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to design and implement AI-based solutions and smart technologies for real-world problems across almost all industrial sectors and scientific research areas.
The Artificial Intelligence certificate will appear on the TAMUK's official transcript as the evidence of participation in and completion of the program.
Admission Requirements
The Artificial Intelligence certificate program is open to all students pursuing a bachelor's level degree in Computer Science with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Course Requirements
To qualify for the certificate, students must complete CSEN 2314Python Programming for AI, CSEN 4375 Machine Learning, and CSEN 4380 Artificial Intelligence. In addition, students must also complete two AI-related elective courses (6 credit hours) such as CSEN 4367 Data Mining, CSEN 4370 Cyber Intelligence, or any other AI-related electives. The course requirements for the AI certificate are listed in the table below:
